We have great pleasure to inform you that COSMO 2010 Energy Efficiency Conference (COSMO 2010 EEC) will be held in Skopje, Macedonia, on 3rd June, 2010 year. "Energy Efficient Construction" is the title of the conference this year. Background For profitable and sustainable development of construction is necessary integration of ecological/green materials, implementation of energy efficient and renewable energy in heating and cooling systems, lighting, ventilation, precise measuring devices, control systems and other innovations. Energy efficient Construction contributes to reducing energy consumption and pollution and contributes to increasing the quality of life. Innovative use of insulation construction materials, lighting techniques, energy efficient windows and doors in combination with advance solar, photo voltage systems, advanced sensor and control systems for air-conditioning, energy from small co-generative systems will contribute to drastic changes in design and construction of modern residential and business facilities. New technologies will contribute to new buildings to consume very little energy and at the same time will influence the reduction of CO¬2 emission and the negative impact on the environment. Objectives Objectives of COSMO 2010 EEC are the following: Accelerating processes for implementation of the EU standards and the law regulation in the field of energy efficiency Making partnership for implementation of new technologies in energy efficient construction Education of representatives from the public sector and small and medium enterprises towards sustainable development, environment protection and reduction of the energy consumption. The conference consists of an educational part – seminar and B2B forum for exchange of knowledge, experience and ideas for technical, economical and legal topics which will affect the future of energy efficient construction. Who should participate Entrepreneurs, investors and other professionals interested in implementation of standards for energy efficient construction Urban designers, architects, civil engineers, project managers and real estate professionals Engineers, scientists and researchers of new ideas for sustainable development and environment protection Representatives of the local self-government and public institutions responsible for development and implementation of standards for energy efficient construction. COSMO 2010 EEC will bring together 150 representatives from the public sector, small and medium enterprises from the Republic of Macedonia and the region, as well as experts from EU. The participants of the event, in front of the potential partners and sponsors, can promote their projects and project ideas which can get support by the financial institutions, banks, investors or asseccion funds for energetic efficiency of the European Commission – Intelligent Energy Europe which is a part of the CIP - Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme.
